Eyes on the skies!
This year was very exciting as we got the chance to see the BLOOD MOON in the Orange County area! If you missed it, (which was probably impossible with the constant barrage of social media pictures of moons)and would like to learn how to take great pictures of earth's nighttime companion, then check out the video tutorial by Tony Northrup. In this 8-minute video Tony teaches you how to photograph the moon with a regular kit lens and gives you the settings you'll need using manual mode.
In the later part of the video Tony goes into depth about how to composite an image with a moon to make sure you get the biggest brightest moon picture around. The next super moon isn't scheduled until late 2016, but you have plenty of full moons to practice on until then!
